Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the age of 14. She studied kickboxing, boxing and wrestling before she made her first amateur appearance at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd went on an impressive 3-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In the three fights, she defeated her opponent in the very first round. She then went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen was first beaten by Silvia Babyghian, before heading to fight Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9, where she faced Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was defeated by Aspen by unanimous decision. The loss put a mark on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd won her next fight with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 mark. Aspen began her professional career in 2015. She joined Invicta FC and made her debut. InvictaFC 11 was her first professional fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing the 1st-round TKO. Invicta Fighter Championships 16. She took her next bout in the fight against Amanda Cooper through a second-round submission by armbar. Aspen used her wrestling expertise to knock out McGill with a TKO during the third round (elbows and punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) at a "catchweight"(138.1lb) as Ladd was unable to put on the weight. Aspen, however, dominated Hoy by using TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her last bout for the organization. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks be defeated in a unanimous verdict. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina through ground-and-pound and won the TKO round later in the second. Her next fight, against Tonya Evinger in UFC 229, her victory was more spectacular. Ladd stopped Evinger's fight after the first round. She also received an extra bonus for her performance that night. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes, in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos-Lee rematch with Sijara's Eubanks, was the first match she's had in a major way. Both fighters put up an intense battle that concluded with Ladd taking a unanimous win and both fighters received their Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie put an end to Ladd's winning streak with just 16 seconds. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya after the third round at UFC on ESPN 7. In her place she took on Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. She lost the fight via majority decision.
