April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4 1995 When she was in the seventh grade, she started playing the guitar as well as taking piano lessons, sparking her interest in music writing. April Lockhart wrote her first song, Different, at age of 12. The singer spent much of her time at 14 writing songs and practicing music. She began writing with her dad in NY and LA just a few months later. April began to include various other topics relevant to the Take my Hand song for some close friends, like peer pressure problems and teenage suicide. Lockhart is a lifestyle and beauty influencer who is gaining a loyal number of followers. She is a partner with the popular brand Ilia through a collaboration, in addition to being a specialist in lifestyle. It's true that she was born with no left hand. It makes her unique. But this isn't the only characteristic of her. As a result Lockhart's Instagram profile isn't afraid to talk about the fact that she is disabled, but the focus isn't on it in any way. What message is it trying to convey? The message is and that we are all unique and we're beyond our physical bodies. I do not want this to be the only thing that defines me. I don't want to become a person who is a disability-related influencer which is what I'm talking about since there are my other aspects Lockhart states in video form from her residence in Nashville. This doesn't influence my day-to-day activities. I conduct my business as usual and have come up with different ways of adapting. It's a huge element of my life therefore it's important that we talk about the subject. Self-acceptance is a lifelong marathon but Lockhart is truly an inspiration in this regard. Still, she admits going through phases when it comes to her body, feeling unsure about certain clothes that exposed her arms. She wears whatever she wants and proudly shares photos of herself dressed in outfits she wears on social media. Self-love, she says, is a kind of journey. "I do not think that it's possible to be in that place," she said. It's a trip, but I'm not convinced that you will ever make it to the end. Your people with who truly know you, and can see into your heart, are those who remind you the things that matter.
