Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
The children were sleeping at the crib, as I was strapped in with an infant on my back. Ha! Ha! It all started to be clear, but was still far from being done. The home would require an enormous amount of work as well as a passion to shop. To keep the budget in check, I started going to estate sales with my three brothers to search for gems hidden in the dirt. It was a weekly tradition that we would walk through estate sales and garage sales on Saturdays and Thursdays, purchasing a mix of antique and brand new furniture. My next task was to spend working on my projects out in the driveway. The furniture I found looked similar to... this is when my passion to restore furniture began. I kept on restoring furniture long after we decorated our house. There was a market in the area to let me sell my pieces. Eventually I had more pieces that I could decide about and outgrew the space. More than 1000 people came to my home over the course of a weekend to purchase everything on the ground floor. Growing Days was created in the home. Not only was my business thriving but I was growing my sweet family too. There was a perfect balance between starting a business and being a mother. Growing Days was the obvious choice. In 2013, my lovely daughter Nora joined our 4th child. My business's direction was great, but I had to get some down time. I took a break from making vintage furniture, and slowed down my pace and stayed at home to help my children. It was the right time. The phone rang again after several minutes. Numerous people reached me to ask for advice on home improvement and decorating. These were mostly customers who visited my house for furniture. I began to take on clients at a time going at my own pace but it didn't take time before I was running numerous accounts and had an entire home improvement business. If you had said to me that this company of mine could become an idea for a TV show on DIY Network I probably would have been astonished. If I think back, it still makes me smile.
