Jenna Fischer's most well-known role is that of Pam Beesly in the highly acclaimed television series The Office. She received 2 SAG Awards and an Emmy for her outstanding performance by an ensemble comedy.
Born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she spent most of her childhood at St. Louis Missouri. Jenna grew up watching her mother, Anne who was a church performer. This instilled in her a love for theatre.
After finishing The Office, Fischer, a theater-trained actress returned to her home base. The actress starred alongside Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway production Reasons for Being Happy. She then starred in Steve Martin's latest show Meteor Shower. It was an absurd comedy piece starring Greg Germann, Josh Stamberg and ran for an unprecedented time at the Old Globe Theatre.
The Office star Angela Kinsey's best friend in real life and Fischer launched with the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf on October, 2019. The show quickly became popular. Every week, it was in the Top Ten in global downloads, with over 200 million downloads in its beginning two years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She is the author of two books. The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide In it, she details her journey to St. Louis to Hollywood and her journey to becoming a successful actress, and the forthcoming Office BFF's: Tales of The Office from Two of the Best Friends who were there (co-authored with Angela Kinsey), which is an account of their most memorable friendship and time working in The Office.
